Thank you for visiting Victoria Akbik Photography; a British female Lifestyle Family Photographer available for on-location child, couple, family, engagement, maternity, newborn and children’s Birthday party photography. My tagline is “Capturing moments to celebrate life & love…”, and quite simply, that’s what I aim to do.
Ahh, who doesn’t melt at the sight of a loving Dad! Fatherhood is such a special honour and I genuinely enjoy witnessing my families interacting with their Dads – whether that is children or grown-ups! I have to admit, that often it’s the Dads that are rather railroaded into the idea of a family photo session, and can be more than reluctant at first, before warming up to the session. I sometimes have to work my charms and chivvy them along as much as the children!
But ladies, take heed – the funny thing is I have often been told post-shoot, that the Dads are the first to show off the photos once they receive the portfolio. I’ve even had one session where Dad was so unwilling about being in front of the camera, he was only told on the morning of the shoot that it was happening… But after his initial panic, he finally admitted that he loved the whole experience – and treasured the photos!

Formerly based in Abu Dhabi running my own photography business, I relocated back to my native England in the Summer of 2017. Now I’m based in beautiful Warwickshire, and I still specialise in natural light, on location lifestyle photography to capture love, light & life through my lens.
For me, photography is an essential way to preserve priceless memories and freeze moments in life. Time is all too fleeting and before we know it, the years pass by and we look back and wonder where the time went. We can’t stop time, but maybe – if I had a superpower – that is what I’d wish for. Our best chance is to document our lives so we have a window into our past that we can visit whenever we like. I find so much joy in using my skills to create priceless memories for others. It challenges my mind and breathes energy into my soul. I celebrate freezing those moments to capture not only the big picture but also the beautiful details and time-capsule minutiae, to celebrate the love and connections within family and kinship.
