Timing of Shoots
I am an on-location photographer, so I like to photograph outdoors, using natural light.
Ideally, I like to schedule my outdoor session timing for early morning or late afternoon to make the most of the best sunlight. The best timing is known to photographers as the ‘golden hours’; roughly the first hour of light after sunrise, and the last hour of light before sunset – although the exact duration varies between seasons. During this timing the sun is low in the sky, producing a soft, diffused light which is much more flattering for portraiture than the harsh midday sun.
Please note if your home is very dark it might not be suitable as a shoot location, so we may have to make alternative arrangements.

Our best chance is to document our lives so we have a window into our past that we can visit whenever we like. I find so much joy in using my skills to create priceless memories for others. It challenges my mind and breathes energy into my soul. I celebrate freezing those moments to capture not only the big picture but also the beautiful details and time-capsule minutiae, to celebrate the love and connections within family and kinship.
