Thank you for visiting Victoria Akbik Photography; a Lifestyle Family Photographer specialising in on-location child, couple, family, engagement, maternity, newborn and children’s Birthday party photography. My tagline is “Capturing moments to celebrate love, light & life…”, and quite simply, that’s what I aim to do.
There are some magical times in your life which deserve capturing for posterity… Maternity & baby photography; the promise of a new life during pregnancy celebrating your changing shape and beautiful bump; or those special times with your littlest ones during their first year – maybe with extended family visiting? Whether this is your first, or you already have older little ones to share in the family joy, it’s the perfect excuse to capture all that family love & happiness celebrating this special arrival.
My outdoor sessions are held in the early morning or late afternoon to maximize the beautiful light. Or we can discuss a shoot in the comfort of your own home where we can relax and capture all the little details of you, your home and the babies nursery.
For the majority of the session, I will prompt you… Or you and your family members to interact with each other. You will never hear me ask you to “Say cheese!” Don’t feel pressured to sit a certain way or make a certain face. I will always aim for some photos of everyone looking and smiling at the camera but that is generally not what I build a session around. My approach to photography is informal and relaxed.
I love natural light (sometimes with a little fill-flash), and natural settings, and my goal is to see how I can catch you and your family naturally. I like to document those gorgeous little details – as well as the ‘big picture’. I want to find out about you and see what makes your family tick; this is how I capture your personalities, true emotions and unique dynamic. But remember, we’re aiming to have lots of fun & laughter and capture you living life to the full here in Abu Dhabi.
Flat-Rate Photography:
I realise that many of my Clients will be leaving the UAE in the future so I believe in providing digital files of your session. This means that you are able to print as you choose from your portfolio of photographs – without having to contact or incur extra costs from me.
For this reason, I opted to be a flat-rate photographer so your photography package cost includes:
- Flash disk or CD with an album of at least 30 high–resolution, print-ready, beautiful images of your session
- Carefully hand-edited & adjusted for skin blemishes, exposure, brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness, etc.
- Presented in a creative combination of colour, black & white, sepia etc.
- Includes a set of low-resolution, screen-ready watermarked versions of your images for online or email sharing
- Photographer signed print release for all your images

Formerly based in Abu Dhabi running my own photography business, I relocated back to my native England in the Summer of 2017. Now I’m based in beautiful Warwickshire, and I still specialise in natural light, on location lifestyle photography to capture love, light & life through my lens.
For me, photography is an essential way to preserve priceless memories and freeze moments in life. Time is all too fleeting and before we know it, the years pass by and we look back and wonder where the time went. We can’t stop time, but maybe – if I had a superpower – that is what I’d wish for. Our best chance is to document our lives so we have a window into our past that we can visit whenever we like. I find so much joy in using my skills to create priceless memories for others. It challenges my mind and breathes energy into my soul. I celebrate freezing those moments to capture not only the big picture but also the beautiful details and time-capsule minutiae, to celebrate the love and connections within family and kinship.
